Fire Management Mentoring Program
Background Information

The NPS Fire Management Mentoring Program is designed to facilitate the development of our employees by tapping knowledge and experience within the service in a personal, interactive manner.

The purpose of this program is to help the NPS mitigate the loss of organizational knowledge and institutional memory and help our employees achieve their fullest potential. The NPS Strategic Plan recognizes that we must make a commitment, and investment in, our human resources.  The Mentoring Program will address the issues that the NPS and its employees face as new generations move into the workforce.

The Fire Management Mentoring Program is a voluntary two year commitment and is open to all employees interested in a career in fire management.  This includes permanent, seasonal, and temporary; full-time and part-time; wage grade and general schedule; in all job series.
