Plants: Love Them, Love Them Not
The National Park Service will present Plants: Love Them, Love Them Not at the Little River Canyon Center on February 9, 2013 from 10-11 AM. This free program will feature some the beautiful species of plants which make life miserable for the native species. Have you ever played this game with a daisy? ... loves me, loves me not? Many of the daises found at Little River Canyon are not native.
Learn to recognize some of our native and non-native flowers. Invasive exotic plants are on the move and may be in your neighborhood. Changes in weather patterns and a worldwide trade of seeds create a perfect opportunity for some plants to move into your yard, garden or forest.
