Photographer Kathryn Scott Adams, was born in Scranton. Her mother, Ruth Palmer Conrad was a local artist and historical preservation advocate. Her father LeRoy Lucian Scott Jr. was a local business owner and photography hobbyist. Kathryn adopted Lucian Palmer as her nom de plume to pay tribute to her parents and family, who still reside in Scranton and the surrounding areas. Steamtown NHS will host her digital photo exhibit, titled "Ghost Trains of Scranton," at its Changing Exhibits Gallery from November 4 through December 31; the exhibit is included in the Park's daily Entrance Fee.
