Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site
Heritage Hike: Hollidaysburg Canal Basin
Join a Park Ranger for a hike of the Hollidaysburg Canal Basin, on Sunday, September 29. The hike will be a 2-mile stroll of the historic district of Hollidaysburg. The tour will focus on the Hollidaysburg connection to the Mainline Canal and on the relationship between the canal and the Allegheny Portage Railroad.This program is free but space is limited so reservations are required. Visitors are reminded to dress appropriately, bring water and a snack.
