2013 Year of the Homesteader Film Festival: "Sun River Homestead"
See "Sun River Homestead" at the Homestead National Monument of America's Education Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 9 & 10, 2013 at 2 p.m.This is the fifth film in the 2013 "Year of the Homesteader Film Festival"series. This documentary film tells the story of Esther Strasburger and her two sisters, Lydia and Anna, homesteaders in the Sun River Valley near Simms, Montana, in the early 1900's.
All films in this festival feature stories of homesteading families. There is no cost or tickets needed to attend, so bring the whole family and popcorn to share! The remaining Year of the Homesteader Film Festival is scheduled as follows:
