Volunteers will assist rangers in leading small groups of students through activities such as snow-showing, fire-building, shelter-building, or ice-harvesting. Activities will depend on the weather but the ability to walk 2 miles in cold weather on uneven ground is required. An interest in helping 5th and 6th grade students learn about the Mississippi River is also required. Contact Mary Blitzer at mary_blitzer@nps.gov
