RSVP to lark_weller@nps.gov.One of the issues presented in the "State of the River Report," released recently by the National Park Service and Friends of the Mississippi River, is the presence and increase of triclosan-derived dioxins in sediment in the Lake Pepin portion of the Mississippi River. Many report readers and audience members have responded that they had not heard of triclosan before. Here's your chance to learn more! Bill Arnold is one of the researchers whose findings were reported in the "State of the River Report." Come hear how Dr. Arnold's research identified a 200% increase in triclosan-derived dioxins in Lake Pepin's sediment.
