    Black History Month Exhibit

    Mini exhibit: Freed and Enslaved—African Americans at Saratoga in 1777 
    Men of African descent—some freed, others enslaved—served in the Battles of Saratoga.  In fact, some 4-5% of the Continental forces were black soldiers fighting alongside white soldiers...integrated forces, a practice not seen again until the Korean War.
