Junior Ranger Day & Happy Birthday to the National Park Service

The Service was founded on August 25, 1916, and now manages 390 national parks, historic sites and monuments.

The National Park Service turns 95 today! With a mission to preserve and protect our national treasures for future generations, Fort Stanwix National Monument chooses to focus today's special activities on our Junior Rangers. In keeping with the National Park Service Junior Ranger motto, "Explore, Learn, Protect," we hope that these activities will spur an interest in children of all ages to learn more about whatever special places they treasure.

This year, come to Fort Stanwix and learn about more interesting ways to explore the American Revolution and the rest of the National Park Service!

Programs will continue the entire day!
