Exhibit: Cajun and Creole Mardi Gras Traditions of Western Acadia

The research of anthropologist Rocky Sexton, Ph.D., and Larry Miller explores the Cajun and Creole traditions of Western Acadia Parish within a 10-mile radius of the town of Iota. Photos and audio recordings tell the story: the music includes eight Mardi Gras songs and three related songs that come from Missouri and from Quebec and Nova Scotia in Canada.

The center is located at 250 West Park Avenue in Eunice.
