    Riverfront History Stroll

It all began with the Mississippi River. Take an hour-long stroll along the Mississippi River levee for an overview of New Orleans history. Walk ends on the levee across from Jackson Square.

25 free tickets are distributed at 9:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis at the French Quarter Visitor Center, 419 Decatur Street, New Orleans. Each person wanting a ticket must pick up their own ticket.

Note: no stroll Thursday-Saturday, April 10-12, due to French Quarter Fest. Join the rangers in the visitor center for a talk instead!

The visitor center is closed on federal holidays and on Mardi Gras (Tuesday, March 4, in 2014).
