Backcountry Camping Permit and Access Procedures
Reservations for required permits must be obtained through www.recreation.gov. Due to the breach at Old Inlet, access to both east and west wilderness camping zones must now be from Watch Hill or points west, and involve a 1½ to 8 mile hike. More »

Explore the Watch Hill salt marsh, some of nature's most productive real estate. Canoes, paddles and life jackets are provided. Participants must be 6 or older; children 6 and up must be accompanied by an adult; participants 16 and up may paddle; and all participants must be able to swim.
Reservations required. Reservations start at 10:00 a.m. the day of the program, in person at the visitor center; limit 24 paddlers.
