View of Park Headquarters as seen from the Patchogue River.
Headquarters for Fire Island National Seashore is located on the east side of the Patchogue River.

Home to many marinas and two ferry terminals the Patchogue River can become a high traffic area.

Fire Island National Seashore Headquarters is located in Patchogue, on the south shore of Long Island, New York.

You may stop by to pick up a park brochure or other information. Golden Age* and Golden Access** Passports are issued at park headquarters during regular business hours (Monday- Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; closed holidays). There are no entrance fees at Fire Island National Seashore, so the National Parks Pass and Golden Eagle Passports are not sold at this location. The discounts provided by the Golden Age/Access passports don't apply at this park's campground or marinas, since they are operated by a concessioner. However, these passes may be used at many other National Park Service sites around the country.

* The cost of the cost of the Golden Age Passport is $10.00 (check or money order). It is available only to citizens or permanent residents of the United States who are 62 years of age or older. You must show proof of age and residency, such as a state driver's license, birth certificate, or similar document.

** The Golden Access Passport is a free, lifetime admission pass issued to U.S. citizens or persons who permanently reside (are domiciled) in the United States, regardless of age, and who have a medical determination and documentation of blindness or permanent disability.
