Missouri; M.S. Geology, University of Colorado; Ph.D. Geology and Geophysics, University of Hawaii.

Hobbies:
Painting, bike riding,
hiking, exploring with her sons,
working in the garden, and
being involved in politics.

Life experiences that led to a career in science:
“I loved to hike and be outside in nature and I loved to draw and paint; I’m also
a very curious person. It’s a combination of a love of nature and art and wanting to know why.”
