EARTH'S GEYSERS

More than 300 geysers are found in Yellowstone, which account for half of all the geysers on our planet. Other significant geyser fields are located in Iceland, New Zealand, Chile, and the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

Another 100 geysers are scattered across the planet in 35 different locations.

With the exceptions of Yellowstone and the Kamchatka Peninsula, most of the world’s major geyser basins have been modified or destroyed by human development. Other places to look include these areas:
