The main festival events on Saturday March 8th will be from 9 AM to 10 PM at the Mariposa County High School Auditorium and require registration.

On Saturday at 12:40 pm, the Mariposa Storytelling Festival is proud to be hosting the release of Inspiring Generations, 150 Years, 150 Stories commemorating the 150 anniversary of the signing of the Yosemite Grant. This book was conceived, created, and published by the Yosemite Conservancy in collaboration with the 150th Yosemite Grant Anniversary Committee and the National Park Service. These reflections from generations of visitors range from the hilarious to the historical, the enlightening to the uplifting. The stories recall, among other experiences, treks up Half Dome, escapades at The Ahwahnee, revels at the long-gone firefall, and, yes, encounters with those bears. Contributing authors will be invited to tell their stories during this book releaseThis special event is FREE to all and will be held in the High School Library.
