To celebrate the holiday weekend, ranger-guided programs have been scheduled especially for the Thanksgiving week and visitors of all ages can enjoy a visit to the unique natural and cultural resources of Everglades National Park. "Come celebrate Thanksgiving with your family at Everglades National Park!" said Acting Superintendent Bob Krumenaker. "Ranger-guided programs are being offered for this special weekend. Or take an organized tram or boat tour, or create your own self-guided adventure in the park on one of the park's many trails that can be accessed via bike, boat, or boot (hikes)." There is a wide variety of programs that provide memorable opportunities to experience Everglades National Park. In addition to ranger programs, there are boat tours and boat rentals available at Flamingo and the Gulf Coast area of the park and Tram Tours and bike rentals at Shark Valley. The full slate of free, ranger-led programs will beginDecember 22, 2014. During the park's busy, winter season, seasonal park rangers help provide increased programming.
