2010 Fire Management Plan Update
The Environmental Assessment is currently being completed by a company contracted by the National Park Service. Based upon preliminary work on the Environmental Assessment, Fire Management staff is updating the previous draft of the Fire Management Plan. The Plan is projected to be completed and approved this year.
Did You Know?
Of the 27 species of snakes in Everglades National Park, only four are venomous – the cottonmouth, the diamondback rattlesnake, the dusky pygmy rattlesnake, and the coral snake. The snake to the left is the non-venomous, endangered Indigo Snake.
