Ecosystem restoration is a primary mandate of the SFNRC. Specific restoration efforts undertaken by the Center range from small-scale, local projects, to participation in long-term, region-wide plans to restore the Everglades Ecosystem.

The overall goals of each project are driven by the desire to manage the natural resources, including the hydrology and water quality of the system, in a manner that will support a functioning ecosystem as much like the historical Everglades as possible.

The SFNRC is currently involved in a series of major restoration projects.  Additional information on these is available below:
