Everglades National Park invites the public to enjoy an art exhibit by Shauna Lee Lange, who will showcase her series in microcircles entitled, "Periphery: Neo-Pointillism." The collection will be on exhibit at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center Gallery at Everglades National Park during the month of June. An Artist’s Reception is being held on Sunday, Junbe 28 (between 3 - 5 p.m.).

According to the artist, “my hand-rendered circles are laboriously rendered in a concentration of sizes, light effects, and color harmonies.  As a self-taught, late-emergent, mid-life artist explorer of interdependencies, sustainability, and organic systems, the works explore color field theory within the cyclical concepts of environmentalism, nature, and Florida's flora and fauna.”

The Rhode Island native relocated to Florida in 2011 where she seeks out the naturalist's life in maritime, nautical, and oceanic watercolor themes. Lange is most noted within art journaling communities, and regularly participates in Urban Sketcher forums. Lately she has a growing interest in large scale works and public art. In addition to being awarded a large-scale public art exhibition during the grand-opening season of the Nationals Baseball Stadium in Washington, DC, Lange is also the founder of an online think tank for global art professionals, known as Creative Art Consultants International, and the director of a newly formed youth art incubator known as Inspired.
