Everglades National Park invites the public to enjoy an exhibit by photographer Daniel Eric Madrigal, which will be on display at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center Gallery during the month of March. The exhibit is entitled, “Everglades Forever, An Experience by Daniel Eric Madrigal,” and features stunning photographs of the Everglades. The public is also invited to meet the artist at receptions being held on Sunday, March 1 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and again on Saturday, March 28 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Daniel reports that he has been working with photography and video since 2006 when he graduated from Miami-Dade College with a degree in film production. Shortly after graduation, he found himself gravitating more towards still photography as a medium that allowed him to blend art with a creative eye towards nature.

According to Daniel, “As a Miami, Florida native, it wasn’t until several years following graduation that I took a trip that would change my life forever. During an overnight trip to the Hell's Bay Chickee in Everglades National Park, I was mesmerized by the isolation and beauty of the area. After this trip, my passion became nature and landscape photography.”

Being raised in south Florida, the Everglades are his backyard and the bulk of his work encompasses this unique area. He is dedicated to conservation of our nation’s most beautiful and wild spaces through sharing his work with the public, and showing them what is at stake to be lost. He has photographed other national parks, but Everglades National Park has provided the quintessential back drop for much of Daniel’s most moving still-photography pieces.

As an avid supporter of all local artists, anyone interested is invited to meet him in person and discuss his work throughout the day on Sunday, March 1 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and again on Saturday, March 28 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
