Exotic species introduced to the park, like Burmese pythons, threaten the health of the Everglades Ecosystem.

I think that the Everglades Is special because it provides a home for many animals and is also our main source of water. It is the only Everglades that we have and a unique environment. It's an amazing sight for the many tourists that come to explore this National Park.

Park rangers help protect the Everglades by finding non-native animals and plants that can destroy this fragile ecosystem. Animals such as the wild hog and plants such as the melaleuca also endanger the native animals and plants that have always lived in South Florida.

Threatened and endangered species that live in the Everglades need protection so they will not become extinct. Many ecosystems, such as the tropical hardwood hammocks, marsh prairies, sloughs and others make up the plant communities of the Everglades.

I think the Everglades is very special because it helps provide the perfect environment for the animals and plants that have always been a part of South Florida. I hope it will always be here for my friends and family to explore.
