Eleanor's Suitcase: A Traveling Trunk

Available Fall 2007

Grades 3 - 7

This new program will be available for loan to schools nationwide for a fee of $60.00 per six week period. The traveling trunk, "Eleanor's Suitcase," is a reproduction suitcase similar to one that Eleanor used in her travels. The suitcase is filled with reproduction items such as Eleanor's Diplomatic passport, a photograph of Eleanor and her father, knitting needles, Eleanor's stationary, letters written by Eleanor, "My Day" Columns, maps, time period clothing, and a variety of other materials. The trunk also contains a seven unit curriculum packet.

As an Outreach Program: A National Park Service Ranger will come to your school within a 50 mile radius of our Park.
