Pilgrimage, by Annie Leibovitz
Illustrated Artist Talk and Book Signing
Over the years the originality and brilliance of the portraits and photographs by Annie Leibovitz have become part of our national visual landscape. Now, Hudson Valley residents have an unusual opportunity to experience the exceptional vision of Ms. Leibovitz applied to places that have special meaning for her. Her latest book, Pilgrimage, presents her views in images and writing that are unique, thought provoking and deeply personal. In Pilgrimage, one of the places that she movingly photographs and discusses is Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill home, in Hyde Park, NY.
It is with special pleasure that the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association (RVHA) announces an illustrated artist lecture and book signing by Annie Leibovitz on Sunday, March 11th at 3:00pm at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home National Historic Site at 4079 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY. Seating for the lecture is limited and it is requested that patrons with reservations be seated by 2:45pm in order to make remaining places available to the waitlist. The book-signing portion of the event will be open to all without reservations. Reminder: Day Light Savings Time begins this same weekend so be sure to set your clocks to new time.
This is a free public event, but reservations are required.
