The Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site Introduces
"Cottage Conversations," for 2013
In Depth Discovery about the Life and Times of the Roosevelts and Vanderbilts

Hyde Park, NY: By popular demand, the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites is presenting a new series of "Cottage Conversations" for 2013 to be held in Stone Cottage at the Eleanor RooseveltNational Historic Site in Hyde Park, NY.Sarah Olson, National Park Service Superintendent, said "Last year's series of programs sold out almost immediately. Our visitors welcomed the opportunity to learn more about Mrs. Roosevelt and enjoying a conversation over tea and cookies resonated with all who participated."

This year, the program is expanding to cover additional topics about the lives of the Roosevelts and the Vanderbilts.Said Olson, "these are subjects that fascinate us all, yet a traditional tour doesn't allow us the time to go into them deeply. Cottage Conversations do."

These unique programs are free but requires reservations to participate in a conversation in Mrs. Roosevelt's Stone Cottage. The Cottage Conversations are 45 minutes to one hour in length and are facilitated by knowledgeable Rangers. The program will be held once a month throughout the next six months and reservations are required and can be made online at: Eventbright
