Volunteer

There are a number of volunteer opportunities at the monument. Volunteers assist the staff with visitor information, guided walks, interpretive talks, school programs, trail maintenance, monitoring rock falls, and snow removal.

Housing or a trailer pad may be available.

El Morro National Monument's avian claim to fame is the White-throated Swift, which was described to science for the very first time here in 1851, by Dr. S. W. Woodhouse of the Sitgreaves Expedition.
