Entrance Fees and Passes
El Morro National Monument is now fee free. After a thorough review of the fee program, National Park Service management determined it is no longer feasible to collect entrance and camping fees at El Morro. As of April 1, 2013, the national monument is now fee free year round.
Did You Know?
The Headland Trail at El Morro National Monument was hand-carved into the sandstone by a Civil Works Administration (CWA) crew in 1933. CWA was one of the New Deal programs initiated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression.
