Procedure: Before beginning this activity, discuss the importance of the interview question.  The use of the "why" question should be limited to appropriate times only.  Good interview questions are open-ended to allow the respondent to respond and explain.  Be sure to encourage students to use what is known and is unknown about Effigy Moundbuilders.

Imagine that a completely preserved body of a Middle Woodland Indian of northeast Iowa was discovered in a burial mound currently being studied.  Also imagine that with an advancement in medicine and technology, the body was able to "be brought back to life."  Being one of the most respected scientists and archaeologists in the nation, you were chosen to interview Mr. M.B. (alias: Moundbuilder).  Write a transcript of an interview between you and Mr. M.B.  Think of some factual as well as creative questions to ask Mr. M.B.
