Earn your Edison National Historic Site Junior Ranger badge during National Park Week.

Edison National Historic Site will celebrate National Park Week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 25, 26, and 27, 2008 at Thomas Edison’s home, Glenmont in Llewellyn Park. Movies, exhibits and activities begin at 12:00pm and continue until 4:00pm. We will offer special Junior Ranger activity each day for families to Explore, Learn, and Protect their national parks.  

National Park Week is an annual Presidentially proclaimed week for celebration and recognition of Your National Parks. Your National Parks are living examples of the best this Nation has to offer - our magnificent natural landscapes and our varied yet interrelated heritage.

Did You Know?
Thomas Edison passed away in 1931 and his wife Mina passed in 1947. They were buried at Rosedale Cemetery. In 1963, the family had Thomas and Mina re-buried at the home they loved and where they spent their 44 years together - Glenmont.
