Pinnacles West Side Visitor Center, Pinnacles National Park, California
The Pinnacles West Side Visitor Center complex is an off-grid development including a visitor center, entrance station, maintenance building, photovoltaic building, and three residences. Many sustainable features contributed to the Visitor Center's LEEDâ„¢ Platinum Certification including: the use of on-site solar electric energy, solar reflective roof, energy and water saving features, day-lighting for all regularly occupied spaces, geothermal cooling, permeable paving, regionally extracted/manufactured materials and construction waste management.
