Southwest Poconos (Jim Thorpe PA)

In both its historical and natural resources, this "Gateway to the Poconos" region has some of the flavor of the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and some of the attractions of the Delaware River Valley.

Route 209 will reach Interstate 80 at PA Exit 304, and leave Interstate 80 again just 5 miles farther at PA Exit 309. (Or take route 715 north from 209 to join Interstate 80 at PA Exit 299 and The Crossings Outlets)

To reach the north end of the recreation are, take 209 North at Exit 209; to reach the south end of the recreation are and New Jersey side, take River Road from PA Exit 310 at Delaware Water Gap, left run at the end of the exit ramp.
