Hornbecks Creek Trail Partial Closure
The trail is closed between the first and second waterfall; a portion of the trail has sloughed off, causing a hazardous condition. The first waterfall is accessible from the 209 trailhead and the second waterfall is accessible from Emory Road.
Alcohol can bring on poor judgment, disorientation, and an overestimation of one's ability to swim. An adult swimming out into the river can drown in minutes. There is usually little that friends on the shore can do in time. Too often, when rangers arrive, they can only search for the body. Don't invite tragedy for yourself and your family.
PARK ALCOHOL POLICY
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at:
• virtually all sites in Pennsylvania, including Hialeah Picnic Area and Smithfield Beach
