Teens - "AT" Junior Ranger

The Adventure Guide for Teens is a 16-page color booklet that introduces youth to the Appalachian Trail within this park. Topics include plate tectonics and the formation of the Appalachian chain, planning a day-hike, "leave-no-trace" backpacking, wildlife, and the reflections of a "thru-hiker."

Those who complete and turn in the booklet earn an Appalachian
Trail patch and junior ranger rocker. (above)

2. Return the completed booklet to a visitor center to check your answers with a ranger and to get your patch and rocker.
