After becoming a junior naturalist, kids can move up to being a Junior Park Ranger by working through a Junior Ranger Activity Booklet. The full-page booklet is 20 pages long and has activities about plants, animals, fossils, geology, water resources, sounds, and stargazing, as well as ranger duties, cartography, and a map exercise for Millbrook Village.

Kids who finish the Junior Ranger Activity Booklet get an iron-on cloth patch (above left), a pencil, and an Junior Park Ranger badge.

To become a Junior Park Ranger
1. Pick up the booklet from a visitor center or park headquarters, or contact the park to have one mailed to you, or download the booklet at the right.
2. Return the completed booklet to a visitor center to check your answers with a ranger and to get your patch, pencil, and badge!
