Scotty's Castle Area Services

Scotty's Castle is a day-use area only. No overnight lodging is available at the Castle. The nearest lodging facilities inside the park are at Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek. Beatty, Nevada has full services sixty miles from Scotty's Castle. Mesquite Spring Campground (no hookups), is located five miles south of the Castle.

Services on-site include:

Exhibit Area - open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (winter)
                    - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (summer)

Natural History Association Bookstore - open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (winter)
                                                              - open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (summer)

Xanterra Gift Shop - open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (winter)
                              - open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (summer)

Xanterra Snack Bar - open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (winter)
                                - open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (summer)

Scotty's Gas (Petrol) StationDue to equipment failure, NO Gasoline is available at Scotty's Castle until further notice. (The nearest gas stations are at Stovepipe Wells, 45 miles south, and at Furnace Creek, 53 miles south.)

Castle grounds and picnic areas are open and free to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Castle grounds close at 6:00 p.m. (winter), 5:30 p.m. (summer)

A public pay phone is available behind the ticket office building located on the grounds. A pay phone is also available at the Grapevine Ranger Station located 3 miles south of Scotty's Castle.
