Study

The National Park Service seeks to instill in all visitors an appreciation for the Mojave Desert and the unique natural and cultural history that can be found here. To this end, Death Valley National Park sponsors on-site, curriculum-based education programs. As today's students become tomorrow's leaders, it is hoped that they will be motivated to help solve the many problems we face today.

These programs are best suited for local schools within reasonable driving distance to the park. Participation in these programs is free of charge and only available by advance reservation. Currently, the park offers both day programs and three-day overnight camping opportunities.

Educators are encouraged to visit our Curriculum Materials page for pre-site and post-site materials to enhance your students’ learning experience.
