Open Burning Restrictions Lifted at Devils Tower

Open Burning Restrictions that have been in place at Devils Tower National Monument since July 9th, have been lifted. Fire danger levels have dropped with cooler temperatures and more moisture. Crook County released their open burning ban on September 11th.

Campfires, including charcoal briquette fires, and petroleum-fueled stoves and grills may once again be used at Devils Tower National Monument at designated areas in the campground and picnic area. Visitors are reminded to properly put out all campfires and extinguish smoking materials in ashtrays. Fireworks are prohibited within Devils Tower National Monument.
