On May 28, 2005, Superintendent Charles Fenwick was joined by representatives of the Conquistador Historical Foundation, Neal Communities, and volunteers in dedicating the new chickee rebuilt by the Micosoukee Indians in Camp Uzita.

De Soto National Memorial receives its base support from the National Park Service.  However, many special initiatives and educational programs are supported by donations from the community.  If you would like to support De Soto National Memorial with a cash donation, please contact the Administrative Officer.
