Volcano Litter

Lava is the nuttiest of the young Volcano litter. He tries to listen, but can't help jumping around and getting excited. He loves playing games with mushers as he runs to and from the dog truck. He is a favorite with visitors due to his goofy antics, baby blue eyes and floppy ears.

Denali is home to both black bears and grizzly (brown) bears. Black bears inhabit the forested areas of the park, while grizzly bears mainly live on the open tundra. Almost all bears seen by visitors along the Park Road are grizzlies.
