  • Road Closure: Friday, September 26

    On Friday, September 26, a contractor will be working on a utility below the park road near Headquarters. Therefore, the road will be closed to all vehicle traffic at roughly Mile 3. The road will re-open on Saturday morning.

Art Galleries

Arguably the best traveling art show in Alaska, there are numerous locations in Denali - and around the state - where you can view pieces from the park's artist-in-residence program.

 

Denali Visitor Center
Dates: Seasonally (May 15 - mid-September)
Hours: 8 am - 6 pm, daily in season.
Located at Mile 1.5 of the park road, the Denali Visitor Center features a number of artist-in-residence pieces near the information desk.

Eielson Visitor Center
Dates: Seasonally (June 1 - mid-September)
Hours: 9 am - 7 pm
Reachable by shuttle bus, Eielson Visitor Center is a spectacular setting for select artwork.

Murie Science and Learning Center
Dates: Year-round
Hours: 9 am - 4 pm (hours may be longer from May 15 - mid-September)
The Murie Center lobby contains contains several works of art.

Alaska Public Lands Information Centers - Anchorage
Dates: Year-round
Hours: 9 am - 5 pm in summer, 10 am - 5 pm in winter.
Located downtown, the Anchorage public lands office hosts information about visiting public places across Alaska, as well as numerous pieces from the Denali art collection.
