WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Public involvement is a key component in the preparation of a management plan and environmental assessment. This newsletter provides information on the planning process and how you can be involved. You are invited to share ideas with the planning team in two ways:
First, by completing and mailing the enclosed postage-paid response form. Do you agree with the purpose and significance statements presented above? What do you think of the three management directions mentioned above? What are your ideas about the future of the park?
Second, by attending one of our public scoping meetings in January , where you will have an opportunity to present your ideas, questions, and concerns directly to the planning team. A series of local meetings will be held:
January 22, 7 to 9 P.M. at the Fort Dupont Activity Center, Fort Dupont Park, enter Ft. Dupont Drive, S.E. at Randle Circle (Minnesotota and Massachusetts Avenues, S.E.), activity center on left in about 1/4 mile.
