Canal Visitor Center Closure
Canal Visitor Center will be closed for construction, starting Monday, May 6, 2013. It will reopen with new exhibits in early 2014.

Riverview Road Closure
Riverview Rd from the Cuyahoga Falls line north to the Peninsula line will be re-paved, beginning the week of April 22. Expect delays. Flaggers will direct traffic. Final resurfacing and striping will take place following the Memorial Day holiday.

Bald Eagle Closure in Effect
RR tracks, and 30 foot right of way on either side, are closed to all foot traffic from the Rt. 82 Bridge at Station Rd, north to the RR tracks at. The Cuyahoga R. downstream of the Brecksville Dam to the Fitzwater Rd Bridge is closed to water activities.

Families are invited to explore historic farm properties in the Cuyahoga Valley and learn about local foods, sustainable agriculture, and farming history. These programs are part of a collaborative effort between Hale Farm & Village, the Countryside Conservancy, the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the National Park Service.

Family Farm Retreat and Campout
Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the historic Stanford House or pitch tents at nearby campsites. The program includes shopping the Countryside Farmers' Market at Howe Meadow and a visit to Hale Farm & Village, where we will prepare and eat a lunch made from local foods and participate in farm and garden activities. Fee: $100 adults/$90 partner members; $60 children ages 4 - 11/$50 partner members; or $285 for a family of four (includes programming, market tokens, lodging, and meals). Stanford House, Friday 5 p.m. to Saturday 4 p.m.

Stone Soup Mystery Meal
Gather ingredients from the Countryside Farmers' Market at Howe Meadow, travel to Hale Farm & Village, prepare a delectable soup and salad around a campfire, and re-enact the traditional tale of Stone Soup. Then it's time to eat! Fee: $17 adults, $15 for partner members, and $7 children ages 4 - 11. Price includes market tokens. Howe Meadow, 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

All Things Mushroom Weekend
Spend a weekend in CVNP at the beautifully renovated Stanford House learning about mushroom ecology and identification. Join fellow mushroom lovers and follow a local expert into the field on a mushroom foray at the Bath Nature Preserve, listen to lectures on the fascinating world of mushrooms, and dine on delectable mushroom dishes. Fee: $160 per person includes lodging for two nights, meals, and instruction. Stanford House, Friday 6 p.m. to Sunday noon.
