  • Tuesday, June 10 - Volunteer Enrichment Series Location Change

    Tonight's Volunteer Enrichment Series will now be held at Happy Days Lodge, located at 500 West Streetsboro Road (SR 303), Peninsula 44264. Refreshments start at 6:30 p.m., presentation at 7 p.m. It was originally scheduled for Basket of Life Farm.

  • Brandywine Creek Foot Bridge Closed

    The footbridge that crosses over the Brandywine Creek on the Brandywine Gorge Trail is closed due to damage sustained during a recent storm. The trail remains open but there is no detour. Visitors will need to backtrack to get back to parking lot. More »

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail is Now Open

Brecksville, Ohio- The National Park Service has reopened the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Lock 39 Trailhead in Valley View to Boston Store Visitor Center in the village of Boston. In addition, the Towpath Trail closure for construction from Frazee to Station Road Trailhead has been lifted.

Canal Visitor Center remains closed due to lack of power.

November is the time to be on the lookout for bald eagles performing aerial courtship displays. Once eagles have selected each other, they plunge through the air in very high dives, locking their talons and breaking apart just when it looks as though they will crash to the ground.
