Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath is Closed due to Flooding: Lock 39 to Botzum
Due to excessive flooding the NPS has closed the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in CVNP until further notice. The Polar Express cancelled tonight and Sunday's 9 a.m. hike at Ira Trailhead is cancelled. Please respect all closures.
Closure on Fishing Will Remain in Effect for Virginia Kendall Lake
Due to the government shutdown, we were unable to survey the fish community in VK Lake as scheduled. Our survey partners (ODNR) will not be able to get into the lake until early spring of 2014. Therefore, the closure on fishing will remain in effect. More »

Brecksville, Ohio - The winter 2012/2013 Schedule of Events for Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) is now available online at www.nps.gov/cuva/planyourvisit/events.htm. This event listing includes programs and activities throughout the park for the months of December, January, and February. The schedule is also available at all visitor centers.
