Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Services Cancelled Until Further Notice

Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is cancelling all train services occurring in Cuyahoga Valley National Park starting Thursday, June 23, 2011 until further notice. The train will continue to provide service
from Canton to Akron. The cancellation is due to the construction of the track work on the Valley Railway causing excessive delays in the train schedule, negatively affecting visitor services. The cancellation of train services in the park will allow the contractors to complete their work earlier. The work was scheduled to be completed by June but due to the hard winter it has been extended into summer.

Train services will continue from Canton to Akron, Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets for all of the excursions can be purchased on-line at www.CVSR.com.

CVSR is a private sector, not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) volunteer supported organization operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and heritage railroad experience to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio & Erie Canalway and the industrial corridor between Akron and Canton.

CVSR is celebrating its 39th year of excursion rail service.

CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural activities in one setting. For more information about the park, visit www.nps.gov/cuva/ or www.dayinthevalley.com/ or call (330) 657-2752 or (800) 445-9667.

Dragonflies and damselflies look almost alike while flying. However, if you wait until they land, dragonflies lay their wings to the side while damselflies lay them back and above their bodies.
