Train Service Reopens in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) is reopening train service from Peninsula Depot to Brecksville Station, starting Wednesday, August 3, 2011. CVSR operates regular excursions on Wednesdays through Sundays from Brecksville Station to Akron Northside Station and from Canton Lincoln Highway Station to Akron Northside Station. Train service from Rockside Station to Canal Visitor Center remains closed until construction is completed later this summer.

Visitors are encouraged to board the train at any of the other boarding stations that allow for walk-ups: Brecksville Station, Peninsula Depot or Akron Northside Station. Bike Aboard! riders are able to board at any of the stations other than Canal Visitor Center.

Tickets for all of the excursions can be purchased on-line at Advance tickets purchased online are $20 adults and $15children ages 3 - 12 and walk-up tickets are $18 adults and $13 children ages 3 - 12. Prices include all additional fees. Visit for schedules.

CVSR is a private sector, not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) volunteer supported organization operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and heritage railroad experience to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio & Erie Canalway and the industrial corridor between Akron and Canton.
