National Park Opens Just in Time for Autumn Color Viewing

Brecksville, Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) re-opens to visitors today. All facilities are open, including restrooms. Boston Store Visitor Center is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Lock 39 Trailhead to Botzum Trailhead and all other trails are open.
"We are excited to be back at work and welcome visitors to Cuyahoga Valley National Park," said Acting Superintendent Paul Stoehr. "Autumn colors have peaked this week and now is a perfect time to experience nature’s beauty in your national park."

Hang Out at Hunt Stop by to explore Ohio fossils. Hunt Farm Visitor Information Center, 1 - 3 p.m.
Ghost Walk On this 1-mile lantern hike, our costumed characters bring Ohio’s past to life with tales of love and despair, joy and grief, and kindness and horror. Hikes depart every 30 minutes. Kendall Lake Shelter, 6 - 8:30 p.m.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad continues its regular fall excursions on Wednesdays through Sundays in October and on Saturdays and Sundays in November. For more information visit www.cvsr.com.
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park continues to have programs at the Environmental Education Center and at Happy Days Lodge. The Stanford House, Hines Hill Conference Center, and the Stone Cottage are available for rentals. Trail Mix Peninsula is open for snacks and souvenirs. The Countryside Conservancy’s Farmers’ Market resumes at Howe Meadow on Saturdays in October, from 9 a.m. to noon, and moves to its winter location at Old Trail School in November. For more information visit www.cvcountryside.org.
