Fitzwater Road Bridge Dedication
Cuyahoga Valley National Park MEDIA ADVISORY
Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) are dedicating the new Fitzwater Road Bridge located in Independence, Ohio. The bridge, funded through the Federal Highway Administration, provides access to CVSR’s Fitzwater Maintenance Facility. The project included the construction of a new trailhead and associated parking area at the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
Media have the opportunity to view the new Accessible Rail Car now aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Funds were awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Program for the purchase and renovation of an accessible rail car to meet the mobility and vision needs of its passengers.
