Morrow Point Boat Tour
Join a park ranger for a leisurely 1½ hour boat tour on Morrow Point Reservoir. You will travel into the upper Black Canyon of the Gunnison while a ranger shares the natural and cultural history of the canyon. The tour begins with a 1-mile hike along the Pine Creek trail, including a series of 232 steps to reach the boat dock.
Tour fares are $16 for adults, $8 for children (under 13), and $8 for Golden Age/Senior/Access Pass holders. Prepaid reservations are required and can be made by calling (970) 641-2337, extension 205.
Join a park ranger to discuss why people flock to Blue Mesa Reservoir from across the country. A brief (15-20 minute) talk will be followed by a closer look at successful types of fishing gear, the kinds of fish swimming in Blue Mesa, and what those fish are currently dining on. Bring your fishing stories and questions. Stop in for a few minutes or stay for an hour or more.
Other programs may be available in late May or early June. Please check back.
