A Watershed In Action

Through modeling, students will create an ecosystem and trace the actual movement of water. This is an outdoor, seasonal activity conducted on a trailer designed to simulate the dynamic actions of a watershed.

The Plight of the Gunnison Sage Grouse

Learn about this unique species of bird whose survival depends on a healthy habitat in the Gunnison Basin. Includes a PowerPoint presentation, a radio-telemetry demonstration, and a visualization activity related to a shrinking habitat. (1 hour)
